Biography

  • Born and raised in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, in a close-knit French-Canadian family.

  • Youngest of five children, raised with strong values of hard work, faith, and family.

  • Worked alongside his father and brothers in the family landscaping business from a young age.

  • Earned a degree in elementary education after transferring from junior college and later completed his master's degree.

  • Dedicated nearly 40 years to education, including 32 years teaching in Woonsocket and later specializing in Reading Recovery, helping struggling first-grade readers succeed.

  • Married his high school sweetheart, Denise, and together they've shared more than 47 years of marriage.

  • Proud father of two daughters and grandfather of two grandsons.

  • Enjoys golf, gardening, traveling with family, and spending time with lifelong friends.

  • Believes the greatest riches in life are strong relationships, good health, and making the most of every day.
